RTL Foundation Scholarships

  • The Jewel Scholarship is named after seven (7) men who inspire RTL Foundation's mission and awarded to college bound African American High School Students across Baltimore City or County.

    The scholarship is one small step towards closing the education opportunity gap by providing financial assistance to high school seniors that demonstrate leadership, academic excellence, and community service.

    Jewel scholarships will be awarded to Baltimore City or County graduating high school seniors.

  • The Freeman, Robinson, Perkins Scholarship is awarded in honor of three friends that graduated from City College High School in Baltimore, Maryland.

    Dr. Perkins loved jazz music and was passionate about creating opportunities for underserved youth to improve their social, economic, and intellectual status in life.

    This scholarship is awarded to a City College High School graduating senior who’s talented in music or vocal arts.

  • The Samuel Brown Scholarship is awarded to Poly Technical High School students that achieve high standards inside and out of the classroom. The need-based scholarship is designed to assist college bound, African American male students from Poly who aspire to continue the Poly tradition of academic excellence through continued studies.

    Samuel Brown spent his entire high school career at Poly Technical High School. He’s served across many positions from teaching to school leadership.

    In 2005, he retired from Poly Tech. His most memorable moment was serving as the first commencement faculty speaker.
